1949 – formal decision to build the factory was issued, the first adopted name was “The M-7 Southern Manufacturing Plant of Electric Motors” in Tarnow
1952 – initial motors were manufactured, in the first year 9500 pcs were produced
1955 – for the first time, motors manufactured in Tamel were sold to the foreign customer
1956 – the annual capacity of 100 000 pcs was reached
1962 – pursuant to an order of the Department of Industry, company adopted the name Tamel Factory of Electric Motors in Tarnow
Beginning of the 90s – Tamel was transformed into the joint stock company with state treasury shares
1995 – he privatization process of FSE Tamel began
1998 – Tamel joined Invensys Brook Crompton group
1997-1998 – Tamel developed and implemented the Quality Management System based on the ISO 9001 standard
2002 – Invensys sold Brook Crompton group to Lindeteves Jacoberg company from Singapore
2005 – for the first time, Tamel obtained the Baseefa certificate for the production of flameproof EX motors and explosion-proof motors
2006 – ATB took over the majority of Lindevetes Jacoberg shares
2008 – Baseefa certificates were transferred from Brook Crompton to Tamel, at the same time factory acquired the right to design flameproof motors
2010 – ATB took over the majority of Tamel shares
2011 – Tamel obtained Baseefa certificate for the new product, i.e. flameproof Exde II C motor
2011 – Wolong Holding Group acquired 98 per cent of stock share in ATB Group, making Tarnow plant part of a global organisation with its main headquarter in Shangyu, China
